Vembu Delivers StoreGrid Hosting Provider Edition at Parallels Summit

Vembu was one of the sponsors of the Parallels Summit this week at the Gaylord Palms Resort in Orlando, FL. The keynote presentation was delivered by industry veteran Guy Kawasaki who talked about how to build a great company by “enchanting” your customers. Kawasaki explained why enchanting your customers is the key for service providers (or any business for that matter) to build a successful and thriving business. According to Kawasaki, the three pillars of enchantment are likability, trustworthiness and quality.

As I listened to Kawasaki speak and thought about Vembu’s business, I was proud to reflect on the fact that those core values embody the culture of Vembu and have much to do with our continued success as a company. First let’s examine likability. The Vembu team works closely with our customers and we always strive to present a positive attitude through all interactions and communications. We truly love helping partners build successful data protection services businesses and we hope it shows as we help you become familiar with the technology and as you deploy it to your customers. We are just back from a very successful show at the CloudConnect event in Santa Clara, CA. Many thanks to all our partners, customers and friends that came by our booth to see what’s new at Vembu. At the show we announced two new products: StoreGrid Hosting Provider Edition and SyncBlaze. Both products were well received, with SyncBlaze getting most of the attention from the cloud focused audience.

It’s was great to meet many web hosting and managed hosting service providers at the cPanel automation bootcamp, Austin, TX and needless to say, we all had nice time and made new friends. We are at the HostingCon 2010 in Austin, Texas and the atmosphere here is fantastic. We are excited about showing off the latest in Vembu StoreGrid for service providers.

Check out our booth #326, we’ll be showing off the latest in our product for managed hosting providers. A very good reason to do this is because Jay, our VP of Storage Services will be around to take questions on online backups and the latest in storage technology.

1) In the ‘latest’ category, the Flex Light interface for desktops and laptops is currently in beta and is soon to be released for production use. This is based on Adobe Flex for a snazzy user interface. You can download the Light Client for StoreGrid v3.1 over here.

2) Also, StoreGrid now sports Connectwise 2010 PSA integration for easy monitoring for service tickets. We are also working on integrating with WHMCS, AutoTask, TigerPaw and Level Platforms! Download the early beta here.

3) For our Hosting Provider partners, we are working on Plesk and cPanel integration for easy management of backups.

4) Currently StoreGrid supports virtual environment backups. We are integrating with VMWare and HyperV APIs for more comprehensive backup & recovery features for virtual machines.
